Cobra Super Ultimate Steering

This patented steering is laser-cut from aircraft aluminum for strength and durability.  The tempered 6061-t6 aluminum fins are so strong that they do not need any cross-members, round bars, or other interconnecting supports dragging in the water below the nozzle.  Because of their superior strength they are only 3/16" thick, promoting smooth operation, unlike thicker fins that cause more drag or disrupt the water behind the boat at speed.

With our Cobra Venom ULTIMATE system you decide the function of the steering.  YOU make the choice to set the fins to rise up at speed allowing only a small portion of the fins to contact the water on plane to provide feedback and slight assistance on plane, then returning to the fully deployed position in the water for slow no wake mode to provide excellent slow speed and docking control.  Or you may set the fins to stay down all the time for maximum assistance at all speeds including assistance with water sport handling to help hold the back of the boat while towing skiers, wake boarders, or tubes.  Either way you will have the added benefit of improved control of the boat during emergency off-power steering, even if you are being towed.  With this system YOU decide the amount of influence.  If you decide on the full-time mode you can even choose from several different depth settings for the fins.  You can even stagger the fins when using this system on twin-engine boats.  There are so many options built into this one plug-and-play system that you can truly tweak it to meet your individual needs, and then easily change it again if your needs change.

SUPER FINS

This steering system is also available in our latest SUPER ULTIMATE version.  The Super Ultimate fins have additional influence at low speed and no-wake mode for more control in both forward and reverse.  This is accomplished by adding more surface area to the top portion of the fins only.  Simply put, when the boat is up on plane, even if your fins are in the full-time mode the top of the fins are above the water and only the lower portion of the fins are making contact with the water providing steering assistance.

By increasing the surface area on top and the back of the fins, once the boat comes off-plane the hull sits lower in the water and the entire fin is now making contact with the water allowing the additional surface area at the top of the fin to apply the additional steering influence to the boat without increasing the draft of the fins.  This is always important, especially on a single-engine boat as the pump is the lowest point of the hull.
